Thank you!

Dear Friends in Christ,

I was mortified to wake up on Monday morning with the realization that I forgot to offer my thanks during the service on Sunday for the people who did so much and worked so hard to make Holy Week and Easter such a meaningful and beautiful experience. I will of course rectify that next Sunday, but in the meantime, I wanted to make sure I offer my heartfelt thanks to the people and groups who worked so hard.

None of what we do would be possible without the contribution of too many of you to mention, but there are some individuals and groups who go above and beyond at this time of year.

The Altar Guild – Kitty, Susan, Michelle, Dee, Indira, and Arshni, who had to change and rearrange the sanctuary many times to reflect the different sentiments of the week, and made the church look so beautiful and festive on Easter Sunday.

Gwen and the musicians – Jack, Jennifer, Rocky, Jim, Cindy, Lois and Christine, who practiced extra hard to provide us with so many different kinds of music at so many different services.

Jim, who showed up more than once to make sure people who could not get to church could join us on zoom.

The people showed up to help set up the Maundy Thursday agape meal – Carol, Jeanne, Cindy, Dee, Michelle, and the many more nameless and unknown individuals who helped clean up.

All of you for showing up in all the many ways you show up to make our community the great community it is.

And especially, Rev. Mees and Jeanne who supported, advised, and accompanied me every step of the way. I appreciate you all so much and I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
